An American painter’s luxury limousine, a century-old auto-buggy delivered to its owner in a wooden crate, thrilling drift shows, and a Bizon combine-harvester traversing half of Poland for charity. The milestone 10th edition of the Retro Motor Show at the Poznań International Fair is set to be the largest and most comprehensive celebration of classic motoring in this part of Europe. Over the weekend of September 18–20, Poznań will transform into the capital of living history, roaring engines, and priceless gems from around the globe.

🏆 Stars & Rarities
Pure extravagance — the Stutz once owned by Elvis and Wyeth
One of this year's stars will be the 1972 Stutz Blackhawk — a neoclassical limousine that defined 1970s luxury. Designed by visionary Virgil Exner, it took over 1,500 hours of Italian craftsmanship to build: bodywork finished in 22 coats of paint, an interior trimmed in Connolly leather, exotic wood, and accents plated in 24-karat gold. It was driven by Frank Sinatra and the Shah of Iran, and its very first owner was none other than Elvis Presley. The example on show in Poznań previously belonged to the celebrated painter Andrew Wyeth, and after restoration it will become a centrepiece exhibit in Central Europe's first major retrospective of his work.
The car you could order from a catalogue
Another gem from Bemot Classic will be the 1906 Sears Motor Buggy — built by retail giant Sears, Roebuck and Company as a cheaper alternative to a horse-drawn buggy. Cars were shipped to customers in rural America in wooden crates for self-assembly! This example, with an air-cooled two-cylinder engine and solid rubber wheels, is a genuine artefact from the dawn of the motoring age.
From century-old Rolls-Royces to movie stars
Poznań welcomes Piotr Życzyński from House of Classics for the first time, bringing genuine white whales: the Simplex Crane Model 5 from 1916 (the "American Rolls-Royce", with a 9-litre engine — one of only three examples in Europe), a 1972 De Tomaso Pantera, a Maserati Khamsin styled by Marcello Gandini, and a classic Porsche 911T in Bahama Yellow.
American style takes over at the AMERICAN CLASSIC CARS stand from Nowogród Bobrzański, with a fleet of luxury wedding limousines: a 1972 Cadillac Eldorado (8.2-litre V8, the on-screen star of a film about Violetta Villas), a 1976 Lincoln Continental Mark IV Cartier Edition with clocks signed by a famous jeweller, a rare 1973 Buick Centurion convertible, a 1975 Ford Thunderbird, and a 1986 Ford F150 pickup.
For fans of raw power: the Automobilklub Bytowski stand, celebrating its 10th anniversary with sporting monsters — from an Audi RS2 2.2 Turbo, through Mercedes W211 and CLK AMG 6.3 V8 models, to a BMW M2 CS.

400 kilometres on a combine harvester, for a good cause
At the Jarzyna Film stand, visitors will see the iconic Bizon Z056 combine harvester. Behind the wheel, Grzesiek from the Talary Adventure Garage crew set off on 10 September from the Kraków area, covering over 400 km under his own steam to arrive on the MTP grounds. The trip is a charity effort — its goal is to raise 100,000 PLN towards a new home for 65-year-old Mr Piotr, who single-handedly cares for his disabled wife and daughter.
Buczooo from Hi_5 and his 8-litre V10
Among the special guests will be Robert "Buczooo", creator of the Hi_5 channel followed by nearly 1.5 million people, known for test-driving hypercars (Bugatti, Pagani, Koenigsegg). In Poznań he'll bring the winner of the 2022 Retro Motor Show Awards — a yellow first-generation Dodge Viper with an 8-litre V10.
🎉 90 Years of the Beetle & 50 Years of Porsche Transaxle
The anniversary edition is also a time to celebrate milestones. Hall 5A will host a zone dedicated to the 90-year lineage of the Volkswagen Beetle.
A real treat for Stuttgart fans will be the 50th anniversary of the Porsche Transaxle concept. Porsche Club Polska (the country's only officially authorised club for the marque) will present collectible examples tracing the full evolution of the line: from the pioneering 924 (1976), through the 944, 944 S2 and 968 Cabrio, to the flagship 928 in both S2 and facelifted S4 guise — all in factory condition.
😄 Communist-era humour, grandma's living room, and military hardware
AutoPoBabci and the Museum of Humour and Absurdity
The AutoPoBabci crew, lovers of pre-war motoring, will bring a rocking chair, a "grandma's living room" set, and the mood of old-time dances — plus unique Model A Fords (a 1928 pick-up, a 1929 Sport Coupe, and a 1930 Fordor), a 1938 Fiat 508C, and a surprise from 1952. The atmosphere of decades past will also be guaranteed by the Museum of Humour and Absurdity from Urad, with a Nysa 522 in police-response livery (evoking the famous scene from Bareja's film "Miś") and a reporter's Lublin 51 in Polish Newsreel colours.
Fans of military history will find their home in Hall 4, where the Military Property Agency is building a Military Town: a T34/85 M2 tank from the Museum of Armoured Weapons, a Soviet T-70 light tank, a Katiusza BM13N rocket launcher on a Studebaker US-6 chassis from the Museum of Armaments, an iconic Willys MB, and a military Mercedes from the Land Forces Training Centre.
The National Museum of Agriculture in Szreniawa will also be represented, with the oldest known Tarpan 233 Standard from 1973 (serial number L000249), while Honker Team expands on the theme with prototype variants of the Tarpan Honker.

The Vintage Vehicle Marketplace brings an absolute highlight: selected cars up for auction from 1 zł, with no reserve price! At the Giełda Klasyków stand, anyone can bid on running icons: a French Renault Dauphine Gordini, a British Triumph 2500 PI, or a German Borgward Isabella.
Also on show will be leading names from the import and dealer trade: Fabryka Klasyków (a BMW 330Ci Cabrio M Pack imported from Japan, an armoured Viano Westfalia 3.5 V6, and a rare Alfa Romeo 155 Q4), Novanta Classics with its ClassicBox platform, Goźlińscy Brothers, and ABCar.
🏎️ Open-air adrenaline — Stunt Wars and Drift Taxi
For anyone craving the roar of engines and the smell of burnt rubber, don't miss the Stunt Wars Poland zone on Marek Square. Thrill-seekers can grab a seat in the Drift Taxi and ride shotgun through controlled slides alongside top drivers, including Polish Semi-Pro Champion Patryk Detmer and Marta Pawłocka in a rare Chrysler Crossfire.
Alongside the live shows, there'll be an exhibition of drifting icons: a Nissan 200SX, a Toyota Supra, and the legendary Toyota AE86 — the model that kick-started the sport of drifting worldwide. Rounding out the excitement is the Sidro Drift Kart zone, a track with karts built for sliding.
💃 Dance nights and Belle Époque elegance
In Hall 5, visitors will step back in time. On Saturday and Sunday, the band "Jak dawniej" will take the stage, and daily dance parties at 1:30 PM will be a highlight of the programme. The historical side of things will be handled by the GRH Zmierzch Epoki re-enactment group, portraying figures from 1900–1918 — including early motor mechanics, a Gottlieb Daimler character, and a pioneering female driver. Visitors will be able to try on period headwear, test their hand at calligraphy with a dip pen, and watch daily historical fashion shows.
🔧 Restoration experts and a professional workshop zone
The Restoration Academy brings together experts, tool makers, and chemical and technology suppliers: classic Porsche specialists from Call-911, NowakEFI with electronic fuel injection systems, and NOVOL with its NFCC paint line, the Carever brand, and VOLNO workwear.
NEO GARAGE and NEO TOOLS, with special guest Przemek Szafrański, will represent the hands-on workshop side. Knipex and Wera tools will be presented by AGENTOOLS alongside Muzeum GASPAR. Rounding out the line-up: Przedsiębiorstwo WP (brake lines and the Fiat 126p KJS), INDASA (HT Ceramic abrasives and polishing materials), and P4CHURA SIGNATURE (protective pads for tyres during winter storage).
🎤 Practical know-how, epic journeys, star guests and passion
The Main Stage in Hall 5 will be buzzing all weekend, combining expert talks, inspiring stories, and musical performances — from tips on safely buying and restoring a classic, to legal matters and the process of registering a vehicle for vintage yellow plates.
TVN Turbo's own Przemek Szafrański will discuss rebuilding an iconic Ford Mustang and workshop verification, together with students from automotive schools, as part of the Restoration Academy's 10th anniversary celebrations. Organisers of the Rajd Koguta and Złombol rallies will reveal the behind-the-scenes stories of their charity expeditions, alongside updates from the Bizon combine harvester journey and the Maluch Expedition, plus talks from popular online creators: Robert "Buczooo" of Hi_5, Jarzyna Film, and Jan Garbacz. On Saturday, Kornelia Olkucka — the only Polish woman racing in Formula 4 — will make an appearance. Rounding things off will be panel discussions on the role of women in classic motoring, interspersed with fashion shows and live music.
